And now she is 20

Journal Entry: Mon May 21, 2007, 12:38 PM
Yep.

At 11:11 today I turned 20. What a depressing age. Not that I hate it yet, but I just feel so old!!

Think about this: Children who were born in 2000, are SEVEN now! SEVEN!

That's like they are in GRADE ONE!

And I remember thinking people born in 1992 were so much younger. Hell, they are 15 now!

Weird is all.

Anyways, I just wanted to update that in my extremely NEUTRAL way.

That's right! One exam to go and I am free for another 4 months! Well... then three years after that *sigh*. So much longer to go!

Exciting news?
1. Exams are almost over!!!
2. I have a GREAT summer job and am really enjoying it. I quit Wendy's a few weeks ago and am thinking about quitting Michaels because of all of the hours I am getting at the summer job right now.
3. For my birthday, my Grandpa is buying me a wicked awesome bike so I will have something better then my $99 supercycle that is so crappy that the people who stole it, ditched it in some bushes.

I also have some odd and "not so sure where to place it" news. I am going to be 20 in one month and a few days. Although I am very excited to be turning 20 and having a birthday... I kinda wish I was turning 19 again. Does anyone else have that feeling that once you hit a new digit at the beginning of your age you are feeling old? I guess it doesn't help that a week ago I was at the hairdresser and my hairdresser handed my a grey hair-- no wait-- extremely silver hair.

And then I was doing a birthday party at Michael's and the kids were talking about how they watch these REALLY OLD SHOWS like "Saved by the Bell" and "Beverley Hills 90210" and "Home Improvement" and such. I REMEMBER WATCHING THOSE WHEN THEY WERE NEW!!!

After that one of the father's mentioned that he went to see Bon Jovi in concert in 1992. No wait. To be exact "way back in 1992, just before you guys were born, I took _____'s mother to see Bon Jovi in concert." I REMEMBER 1992 TOO!

Anyways, talking about this is depressing, so lets leave it as I am happy to have a summer job, I am happy to no longer be a "teenager" and I have a feeling that this will be an awesome summer! :D

Summer Job Here I Come

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 21, 2007, 7:29 AM
Well, I got a summer job and it sounds awesome! I am kinda excited because I have lots of little jobs to do, and I would have never thought about getting a job there! Also, during the interview, I thought I didn't get it, and he said he was going to do a second round... and he didn't! He just called and want. Hey Jess, want the job? And I was like, are you seriously offering it to me? And he said, yeah. And I said For Sure!!!

So yeahh!

Anyways, now I have to quit one of my jobs. And decide which one. Either way there is a potential that next school year I could be screwed and not have enough hours.... so we will have to see...

Anywho's, I have to get moving.. but yay!

Update...hrm....

1. I got a job at Michaels Arts and Crafts. Pluses? It is really fun, I enjoy 99% of the people I work with and the latest I will ever work is 10:00. Downsides: my boss has a major scheduling problem (constantly schedules people while they are at school, etc) and almost refuses to work with me to coordinate my two jobs (despite the fact that "it won't be a problem" and I am willing to take off whatever days he schedules me at my other job).

2. I started smoking again. (eww!) Too much stress+more stress+more stress=need nicotine.

3. I worked 60+ hours during spring break and didn't do a single bit of homework, so I am stressing myself now.

4. Between March 1 and 9th, I have two major papers, a major media assignment, a proposal, two seminars and a presentation to do. Plus homework. Plus actually working. Plus school.... INSANITY!!

5. I CANNOT wait until SUMMER which will be APRIL FOURTH!!! (PART-AY!!!)

6. I am trying to get a summer job. It is stupid, but I have lots of leads I have to follow up on by Thursday! :-)

Anytheways, just figured I might as well update this since I haven't since January.

Well, Christmas and New Years is long gone and I am back into the whole school routine.... And I cannot WAIT for it to be over already! Early classes are horrible :(

Anyways, I managed to get yet another job and I am happily going to be working at Michaels now! YAY FOR NEW STORES THAT I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT!

The orientation is Sunday.

Kinnnnda crazy.

The biggest thing right now is I have to come up with a topic for Canadian history.

I have to write a 5 page paper (not a word over) that completely covers a topic of my choice in depth and it CANNOT be a biography. There has to be a clearly stated thesis.

So I am at a loss.

Five pages? Thorough? Yeahhhh I don't think so.... so if anyone has a suggestion, don't be afriad to give it to me!

Anyways, I have class now, so that is all for now.
